Personal Pan Pizzas

Pizzeria Pizza Dough (CLICK FOR DOUGH RECIPE) is the basis for mealtime fun. These Personal Pan Pizzas are definitely a favorite because everyone gets to choose their own toppings and create their own personal pan pizza.  It also makes for a fun party!

When I make pizza crusts, I divide the dough into 4 equal pieces.  Then, use my little Mini Pizza Roller to roll out the dough into 8 – 9″ circles (and poke a few  holes in the dough with a fork ~ this prevents huge bubbles from forming as it bakes.  But you can skip this step if you LIKE the huge bubbles.)  Then, I put the rounds onto a pizza pan or baking sheet that has been sprinkled with cornmeal.   If you have a Pizza Stone, it’s even better.

The crust will first only be partially baked for about 7 minutes in a 400° oven (without the toppings.)

Now you are ready to add the toppings.  Use your imagination or try to make a copy-cat of your favorite gourmet pizza. Turn up the heat to 450° while everyone adds their own favorite toppings.

These are just a few to start with!

Bake them again for about 8 minutes in a 450° oven and they will come out with the cheese all melted and the crust will be all crispy and hot.  There is never a soggy crust.

One of my all time favorite pizzas is BBQ Chicken Pizza!  Here’s how I make mine:

Spread the partially baked crust with a little bit of BBQ sauce.  Then, a few bite size pieces of grilled chicken, rings of Bermuda onion, grated smoked Gouda cheese and grated Mozzarella cheese. Bake it for about 8 minutes at 450°. When  it comes out of the oven, sprinkle it with a bit of freshly chopped cilantro.

I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!
