These Parmesan Crisps make a great salty, crunchy snack, or they are a great way to dress up an ordinary salad. Because they are slightly salty and cripsy, they add a great flavor. They are perfect on a Caesar Salad! They look so fancy, but they are made with very little effort. You’ll love these! I got this recipe (if you call it a recipe) from Giada on Food Network. But It’s really just a technique.
You start with SHREDDED Parmesan Cheese (NOT GRATED like the kind you buy in the green can!) You can shred your own cheese, or buy the already shredded Parmesan in a little tub in the deli section of the grocery store.
I highly recommend using parchment baking sheets or silicone baking mats. Otherwise, the may be hard to get them off the pan!
Measure out a heaping tablespoon of the shredded cheese and flatten on the parchment or baking mat. Leave about 1″ between them, as they will spread.
Bake at 400° for about 3 – 5 minutes or until golden. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the pan. They will get crispier as they cool.
