When my grand kids were here at breakfast recently, I made them my famous Dutch Baby Pancakes with this Apple Cider Syrup. My grandson loved it so much, I gave him his own little jar of Apple Cider Syrup to take home. He was thrilled.
A day later, I found out that he had shared some with his dad too. Here is the text message I got from my Son-in-Law:
“Becky, you have changed my life forever. But I’m a little sad. I’ve lived 32 years and never knew what pancakes could taste like. Your apple cider syrup is mind-blowingly delicious!”
So for his birthday, I made my Son-in-Law his own bottle of “Mind-Blowingly Delicious Apple Cider Syrup!”
(It really will blow your mind!)
Here’s the recipe:
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups apple cider
2-4 cinnamon sticks
Bring the apple cider, brown sugar, and cinnamon sticks to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer about 30 minutes, until reduced by about 1/3. Set aside and let cool slightly.
Try this drizzled over my DUTCH BABY PANCAKES!
Get ready to live!
