Frosted Berries

French Vanilla Frosted Berries

There’s no doubt it’s berry season. Our berry patch is really plentiful right now.  We go out to the garden every evening and pick a pint or two.  Sometimes we just graze outside and the berries never make their way in to the house!

If we don’t eat them first, I spread out a sheet of wax paper onto a baking sheet and freeze the berries individually.  When they’re completely frozen, I bag them up in zipper seal bags.  We use them all year for smoothies, Yonanas and THIS frosty dessert!

It is so simple, but so elegant, you could serve it at a dinner party.

If  you don’t have your own berry patch, you can buy frozen berries in the freezer section of your grocery store.

Here are the instructions:

For every pint of frozen berries, pour over 1/2 c. Coffee-Mate French Vanilla Creamer.

Stir gently to coat all of the berries.  You will see that the creamy french vanilla goodness coats every berry. Because the berries are frozen, the creamer becomes a frosty white coating that sticks to the berries.  One bite and you’ll agree; it is amazing!  You can go ahead and eat it immediately, or let it set for about 4-5 minutes until the berries are still slightly frozen but have started to soften.

Not only is this delicious, but it’s actually Low-Calorie too!

Speaking of frozen berries, heres’ a fun little gadget from Amazon.  If you have never had YONANAS before, this is an incredible little machine. You just freeze bananas and other fruits (I love my frozen berries for this!) then push them through the chute and it comes out like creamy sherbet!  No kidding.  And you don’t add sugar at all.  The sweetness comes naturally from the fruit.  AMAZING!

They make a great gift too!

This stuff is like crack, it is so good! I feel like I am Jasmine and this blog post is Aladdin and it just sang “A Whole New World” to my tastebuds.
