Shrimp tacos are one of my favorites! These are so easy. I use the Panko Oven Ready Shrimp from Costco. Because there are only a few simple ingredients, these can be ready in less than 20 minutes!
I use the Mission Artisan Corn and Wheat Tortillas for these. You can also use regular corn or flour tortillas. Either way. Whatever you like.
Some people may use shredded lettuce on their shrimp tacos, but I think shredded cabbage is a must! It stays crunchy and with the fresh cilantro and flavorful shrimp taco sauce, these are incredible!
The only exact recipe I have is for the sauce. The rest of the ingredients are up to you. Just add what you like. Here’s what I suggest:
Tortillas (corn, flour, the Artisan corn & wheat blend is what I like)
Panko Oven Ready Shrimp (Kirkland brand from Costco), cooked according to directions.)
Cabbage, finely shredded
Fresh cilantro leaves
ripe avocado slices
Sauce (recipe below)
Shrimp Taco Sauce Recipe:
1/2 cup plain sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp fresh chopped dill (or use 1/4 t. dried)
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (more or less depending on your taste)
juice of 1 lime
Salt and pepper to taste
Mix altogether and put in the fridge for a few hours to let the flavors incorporate.
