Self Rising Flour Substitute

DIY Self-Rising Flour

Let’s just say you’re in your kitchen and you’re starting to make a recipe that calls for Self-Rising Flour.  You go to the pantry and……What?   Uh oh!   You forgot to put in on your grocery list.  What now?  Not to worry.

Here is a way to make your own Self-Rising Flour!

For every cup of Self-Rising Flour called for in your recipe, measure the following into a separate container:

1 c. flour

1 ½ t. baking powder

½ t. salt

Using a whisk or a fork, stir these dry ingredients together and use this flour just as you would use any store bought Self-Rising Flour.

Not only is it convenient to have this substitution, but it is much more economical to make it yourself.
