When the weather gets hot, there’s nothing more refreshing than an icy glass of Strawberry Lemonade! This is such an easy recipe and great for a party or picnic! You use ready made lemonade (either from frozen concentrate or from a carton) and add fresh strawberries. Pour the icy cold Strawberry Lemonade into a glass (or cute Mason jar) and you have the taste of summer!
I love to serve it in pint size Mason jars with this Cute Little Lid and Straw.
This will make about 4 – 6 servings. You can double or triple the recipe if needed.
1 quart prepared lemonade (can use light or sugar-free)
1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, washed and sliced
1 tablespoon sugar
Start by putting the sliced strawberries into a bowl. Sprinkle with sugar. (The sugar doesn’t add a lot of sweetness, but it helps to draw the wonderful juices out of the strawberries.) Allow the strawberries to sit about 10 minutes until juicy.
In a blender, blend the strawberries (and their juice) with 1 cup of the lemonade until smooth. Then add the remaining lemonade and blend another few seconds.
Pour the delicious Strawberry Lemonade over ice and enjoy!
